Background

In hopes of working more with developers, I came across a page on LinkedIn by Robin Weitzman. She explains, lots of people are food insecure, and lots of people need jobs but lack the experience to get jobs.

Collaborating with Developers

My own goal with this project was to improve my collaboration skills with developers. With that, I ensured these key choices I will make throughout the project.

Research

My research consisted of desk research, competitive analyses, and, most importantly, user interviews of those who experienced homelessness.

Desk Research

In the U.S. alone, more than [580,000 people were homeless in the U.S. on a given night](https://theweek.com/briefing/1013082/living-on-the-streets#:~:text=Here's everything you need to,cars%2C or in abandoned buildings.). This is an estimate made in January 2020 and it is difficult to create an accurate statistic.

In the experience of losing their home, many that become houseless struggle with finding a reliable food source. It is estimated that between [12 and 21 million people rely on soup kitchens and food pantries each year](https://www.encyclopedia.com/food/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcripts-and-maps/soup-kitchens#:~:text=It is estimated that between, soup kitchens and food pantries.).
